RAISING THE STANDARD - 20/07/2005
We live in a changing world. I don’t think we can look back on the past
and say things are better or worse, but we can say that things are
different. Today there is the emerging face of global terrorism. It’s a
hidden, different kind of warfare that targets civilians. Our Prime
Minister recently reminded us of the possibility of a terrorist attack in
Australia. It’s likely to produce a feeling of unease among train
commuters, or with those working (more)

BUILDING UP THE CHURCH - 25/03/2003
I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH
Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with
$86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening it
deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.
What would you do? Draw all of it out? Of course you would! Each of us
has such a bank. Its name is time! Every morning it credits you with
86,400 seconds.
Each day it opens up a ne(more)

Heal the Land - Praying for Rain with Assurance of Faith - 17/12/2002
Over the last few days there has been some relief from the effect of
drought in the southern region of Victoria. In reality we now have
drought affected land throughout much of Australia, and it is now
considered to be the worst in recorded history.
The Archbishop of the Diocese of Melbourne has prompted people to pray
for rain. In response to his request I was interested to read a school
chaplains comments in the school bulletin. He w(more)

SOWING FOR A HARVEST PART 2 - 29/10/2002
Last week I introduced the 1st teaching on the 4 part series on Sowing for a
Harvest. I began by saying weve given an open ended invitation from God to Ask
whatever you wish and it will be given you. Why? For this is to my Fathers
glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Theres no
doubting Gods desire to meet our need! The reality is that we often experience
disappointment through unanswered prayer! Whose fault is it? D(more)

DEALING WITH FEAR - 16/10/2002
DEALING WITH FEAR
Session 2
Its good that we celebrate our uniqueness and differences.no one person
is the same as another. And yet we share so very much in common. The problem of
fear is something most of us know about, for reason of its personal impact upon us.
For many years I was captive to a spirit of fear. It began in my early years in
primary school in which other students and myself were often strapped over the hands

BY WHAT AUTHORITY CAN WE CLAIM HEALING? - 30/07/2002
What authority, what power do we have over sickness and disease;
over circumstances out of control; over the forces of evil impacting on
people what is our AUTHORITY AND POWER FOR HEALING?
"Fair goes are not only for oneself, but for underdogs. Even in
international sporting matches Australians have been known to switch from
their own side to that of the gallant challenger. Australians love
a 'brother', an underdog who is(more)

Jesus the Dalai Lama and Turning 60 - 19/06/2002
JESUS the Dalai Lama and TURNING 60
When I tell people my age they usually express some surprise, often
followed by comments like Well thats amazing, you dont look a day over

Ive thought long and hard about whether I should reveal my secret to
longevity and retaining youth and good looks; and generously Ive decided
today to reveal that long held secret. Its of incalculable value, worth
more than money can buy and guaranteed t(more)

BACK TO BASICS No. 2 - 16/02/2002
Over this next 5 weeks well be exploring all the issues of faith for
healing. Ive headed it back to basics, because at the heart of healing
there is faith as the catalyst for everything that outworks itself.
Time after time I believe that we need to come back to the very heart of
what it is all about in relation to healing and restoration and faith is
always the important catalyst for everything that outworks itself. So

LEARNING TO SPEAK POWERFUL WORDS Session 3 - 16/02/2002
Our words are the building blocks on which we construct our life and
future. Words are the cornerstone of our lives.
Words are powerful. The greater the authority we exercise the more careful
we have to be in the use of our words. In recent weeks weve been reading
of the furore over the vote of no confidence by the Victorian Magistrates
in the Chief Magistrate, Mr. Adamson. It didnt seem to me as issue of
competency but offence given by (more)
